Later, Ayyanar uses this relationship to bully Thulasi and her brother, Arumpon. However, due to pressure from his family, he marries off his sister to Ayyanar whom he despises. Arumpon has a feud with Ayyanar, a ruffian. While his family doesn't have any regard for Thulasi, Arumpon actively looks for a good match for her.
